How does SCENAR work?
SCENAR works by helping the body to heal itself. As the body adjusts and adapts to many environmental and internal influences it is said to be maintaining homeostasis. When the body is unable to adjust to impacts and influences it may go into physical dysfunction and pathology.
SCENAR treatments are guided by the body’s responses. SCENAR Therapy seeks to help the body regain homeostasis by finding and treating ‘asymmetries’ which are tell-tale signs and areas where homeostasis is not present. This is the central principle of the SCENAR treatment approach and this means that SCENAR can be used to treat painful and dysfunctional problems anywhere in the body.
Is SCENAR Therapy Safe?

SCENAR Therapy is non-invasive and non-toxic and is designed to help your body to heal itself. SCENAR Therapy gently prompts your nervous system to become responsive where it may have had trouble being so. As such it leaves well enough alone, and interacts on a completely individualized basis. Some symptoms may exacerbate (get worse or more painful) for a short period (24-48 hours) and this is usual with some painful problems..

How does SCENAR Therapy treatment feel?
As the SCENAR is moved over the surface of the skin a tingling sensation is felt. In cases of severe pain or acute conditions, the sensations may be stronger or weaker in those areas. Power level is then adjusted to suit the person’s sensitivity. Patients often report that they experience an almost immediate reduction in pain and often express that they feel “relieved, relaxed and energized” after a treatment session. Patients generally experience an increase in energy, more refreshing sleep and an improved sense of well-being. Children can be treated, and animals seem to enjoy it.
How often will I need a treatment?
SCENAR Treatments are usually more frequent at the beginning of a course of treatments. As one’s condition improves the frequency of treatment can be reduced. This is particularly true of Acute problems that usually respond very well to more intensive and frequent treatments. Chronic problems may require a more measured and gentler treatment regime. A course of treatments for difficult problems will vary greatly from individual to individual, and will depend on such factors as the stage and response level of the pathological process, the person’s age, overall state of health, life-style, and so on.
What about my conventional treatment?
The SCENAR therapist prefers that your doctor knows you are receiving this treatment. It is hoped that any nonessential drugs can be reduced or eliminated over time and your doctor may need to be involved with this. SCENAR therapy can be received simultaneously with other types of therapy and treatment. SCENAR may help to relieve side effects associated with other treatments.
